Job summary

Thames Water seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician for the Cotswolds area within the Thames Valley North Wastewater Operations Region. You will ensure electrical equipment at treatment sites operates safely and reliably, using proactive and reactive maintenance to keep assets running end-to-end.

Based in Witney, 38 hours/week with a call-out rota and extra pay. Time-served apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering are expected, along with BS7671/18th Edition and a

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in engineering required.
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering preferred.
• Qualified to BS7671 / 18th Edition electrical wiring regulations.
• Experience with electrical maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis safely.

Responsibilities

• Proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets across sites.
• Investigate plant faults and repair quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Service and replace pumps, motors, controls, VSDs, PLCs, and related gear.
• Support local maintenance teams with planned and breakdown work.
• Provide technical advice and training to colleagues as needed.
• Diagnose faults, update electrical drawings, and monitor SCADA alarms.
