Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain and repair electrical equipment across Banbury wastewater sites in the Cherwell area. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and ensuring safe operation of plant systems.

You will work in a skilled team with opportunities to cross-skill across engineering disciplines and advance professionally. A full UK driving licence is typically required for site travel.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in engineering or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 or greater in electrical engineering.
• BS7671 or 18th Edition electrical wiring regulations.
• Experience with electrical plant equipment maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Experience with 3-phase systems and health and safety policies.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets across Cherwell sites.
• Investigate plant failures and complete repairs to prevent process interruptions.
• Diagnose and repair complex faults during incidents.
• Service and replace assets as needed.
