Job summary

Thames Water in Witney is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain electrical assets across our wastewater treatment sites in the Cotswolds and Thames Valley North region. You will perform proactive and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and support across SCADA monitored processes, ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship and BS7671/18th Edition qualifications, with a full UK driving licence and the ability to work a 38-hour

Qualifications

Time-served apprenticeship in engineering (NVQ 3+ in electrical engineering).
Qualifications in BS7671 or 18th Edition electrical wiring regulations.
Experience with 3-phase systems.
Strong health and safety awareness.
Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets across the site network.
Investigate plant faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
Service and replacement of pumps, motors, starters, controls, and associated equipment.
Support local maintenance teams with planned and breakdown maintenance.
Provide technical guidance and upskill trainees as needed.
Interpret electrical drawings and update SCADA-related alarms and procedures.
