Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join the Sewage Treatment Works team in Cassington. The role focuses on inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical plant with minimal supervision to keep sites operational for customers.

You will undertake reactive and planned maintenance, fault-finding, install new equipment, and provide technical guidance while supporting apprentices. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical systems.
• NVQ or C&G level 3 in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 18th Edition qualification preferred; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and standards.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance and raise issues for resolution.
• Provide technical advice and mentor staff including apprentices.
• Deliver good customer service to internal and external customers.
