Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to support site teams with planned maintenance on pumps, motors, and control gear across multiple wastewater treatment sites within the Mole & Wey area.

You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs to minimise process interruptions, and provide technical guidance or training as required. A time-served electrical apprenticeship and appropriate NVQ/C&G qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship and appropriate electrical qualifications.
• Upskilled with mechanical NVQ2/3 is crucial.
• Qualified in electrical engineering with practical site experience.

Responsibilities

• Support planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Investigate plant failures and repair to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical advice and training to trainees when needed.
• Work with pumps, motors, control gear, PLCs, VSDs and valves.
• Attend standby rota and travel across treatment sites.
