In this role, you will take full responsibility for ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods in line with agreed productivity targets and budgetary requirements. You will maintain the highest standards of operational excellence while fostering a safe and compliant working environment through strong leadership and effective team management.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong understanding of warehouse operations within the FMCG distribution industry, coupled with practical knowledge of managing and supervising a busy depot environment. While your primary focus will be on warehouse management, a general understanding of transport and logistics functions would be a valuable advantage.

As a leader of a team of warehouse operatives, you’ll demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to motivate, coach, and develop colleagues to achieve high performance. Your ability to manage people effectively, including handling training and formal processes, will be critical to maintaining a productive and positive working environment.

Strong IT proficiency is essential, as you’ll regularly use MS Office applications to produce accurate reports, analyse data, and manage documentation for operational and disciplinary procedures.
