Responsibilities

• Operational: Take accountability for the work area you are assigned to (Receiving, picking, loading, putaway, etc.).
• Lead from the front with warehouse and product placement standards – Warehouse Excellence.
• Manage the team’s achievement of performance targets through strong leadership.
• Ensure stock integrity is maintained by the team and that products are Quality Control checked upon receipt and after each product movement.
• Coordinate activities so the shift completes all agreed tasks on time and above minimum KPI and quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Complete administration and data capture in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure all team members operate within legislative requirements, especially Health & Safety.
• Identify opportunities to improve key performance indicators and drive improvements.

People Management

• Communicate clearly so direct reports and team members understand their objectives and required standards.
• Define and manage day-to-day activities with clear priorities to meet deadlines.
• Ensure the quality of work at a professional level and manage performance of team members.
• Role model positive behaviours aligned to company values; provide coaching and mentorship to develop team members.
• Provide direction on changes and improvements; resolve conflicts quickly and fairly.
• Proactively manage attendance and conduct in line with AXL policy and procedure.
• Engage and build open, honest professional relationships with team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
