Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations across our West Midlands site. You will manage warehouse staff, oversee receiving, picking, packing and dispatch, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders.

You'll drive safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, coaching team members, delivering performance metrics, and collaborating with drivers and other departments to keep goods moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading warehouse teams and operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory processes and equipment.
• Ability to develop and motivate a team while maintaining performance.
• Calm under pressure with good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient with WMS and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and monitor warehouse staff activities.
• Allocate tasks, set daily priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Oversee receiving, picking, packing, replenishment, loading, and dispatch.
• Ensure order accuracy and inventory through regular checks and cycle counts.

About The Team

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Workflow

• Lead, coordinate, and monitor the activities of warehouse staff.
• Allocate tasks, set daily priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Oversee receiving, picking, packing, replenishment, loading, and dispatch operations.
• Ensure accuracy of orders and inventory through regular checks and cycle counts.

Team Leadership & Development

• Motivate and guide team members to achieve performance targets.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and participate in performance reviews.
• Promote teamwork, communication, and a positive work culture.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce health and safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Report and investigate incidents, near misses, or safety concerns.

Administration & Reporting

• Assist with shift planning, resource allocation, and attendance tracking.
• Monitor KPIs such as accuracy, productivity, and order turnaround times.
• Prepare reports on stock levels, workflow performance, and operational issues.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, and other departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, preferably in a team-leading capacity.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and equipment.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer tools.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
