Job summary

A successful distribution business is looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to manage their busy warehouse operations in Haydock. The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in a warehouse environment, strong people management skills, and a proactive approach. This hands-on role requires leading a team to achieve operational targets, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards. This is a temporary to permanent position, with working hours from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience in a warehouse or FMCG environment.
  • Strong people management skills and confidence handling performance issues.
  • KPI-focused, organized, professional, reliable and proactive.

Warehouse Team Leader

Hours of work: Mon-Fri 14.00-22.00, 37.5 hours after breaks

Location: Haydock, WA11

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent. No weekends or bank holidays

Salary: £28,645.50 per annum

Start Date: ASAP

All candidates will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test and a DBS check.

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful, fast-moving distribution business looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their operation on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to run a shift, lead people, and hit targets in a busy warehouse environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead and motivate a warehouse team to deliver daily operational targets
  • Be the main point of contact on shift for operatives and management
  • Complete activities such as site walk-rounds and audits as required
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with KPIs, SLAs and SOPs
  • Manage performance, engagement and day-to-day people issues
  • Support stock control, PI counts and quality checks
  • Report shift performance, issues and incidents to senior management through regular face to face and team meetings
  • Attend client calls and reviews
