Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Stores Operative to manage goods receipt, stock put-away and order picking within the stores area. You will ensure accurate labelling, safe storage, and orderly stock movement to support production and deliveries.

The role involves handling goods in, packing for courier collections, and maintaining yard safety and COSHH compliance, under the supervision of the Materials Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or stores experience required.
• Working at height experience required.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Forklift experience desirable.
• Enthusiastic and hardworking.
• Willing to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and materials in line with the MRP schedule.
• Process goods-in documentation and scan items.
• Allocate stock to correct locations and ensure safe storage.
• Apply stock rotation and ensure correct labelling and packing.
• Pick work orders and sales orders from picking lists.
• Perform general stores tasks: loading, unloading, sorting, cleaning and stock movements.
• Follow manual handling guidelines and use lifting equipment when appropriate.
• Keep yard clean, safe and stock organised with COSHH and oil store.
• Support waste collection and respond to hatch enquiries with urgency.
• Process online store requisitions accurately and promptly.
• Maintain all stores equipment and stock accuracy; report discrepancies to the Materials Supervisor.
• Ensure orders are packed to a high standard for courier collections.
