Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Stores Operative to manage receiving and processing stock, order picking, packing, and efficient stock control within the stores area. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy in picking, and a commitment to safe handling and labeling of goods.

The position involves working with MRP schedules, daily KPI reporting, and ensuring stock is stored correctly with appropriate lifting equipment used where needed. Training and compliance with safety guidelines are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or stores experience is required or desirable.
• Working at height experience is required.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Forklift experience is desirable.
• Enthusiastic, hardworking and eager to learn quickly.
• Willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and materials and process them according to the MRP schedule.
• Pick work orders and sales orders from picking lists with accuracy.
• Pack and label stock for courier collections and ensure proper storage.
• Maintain stock accuracy and housekeeping in stores area; report discrepancies.
• Operate lifting equipment safely and follow COSHH guidelines.
