Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Stores Operative to support goods inwards, stock control and order picking in our Fareham-based facility. You will handle receiving, stocking, picking, packing and dispatch activities within a busy stores environment.

You will work to accurate processes, maintain stock integrity, and follow safety guidelines while contributing to efficient warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Previous Warehouse or Stores experience is desirable.
• Experience of working at height is required.
• Experience with ERP Systems.
• Forklift experience is desirable.
• Enthusiastic, hardworking and willing to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and materials in line with the MRP schedule.
• Process all goods receipt documentation including scanning and resolve booking in issues.
• Locate stock in correct locations and ensure proper labeling and safe storage.
• Pick Work Orders and Sales Orders according to picking lists with high accuracy.
• Perform general stores duties: loading, unloading, sorting, cleaning and stock movements.
• Follow manual handling guidelines and use lifting equipment where appropriate.
• Keep the yard organized, clean and stock located by size and COSHH/oil store.
• Support waste collection processes as required by the business.
• Respond to hatch enquires with urgency and accuracy.
• Process online stores requisitions promptly and update stock locations as needed.
• Maintain stock accuracy and report discrepancies to the Materials Supervisor.
• Ensure packing and labeling for courier collections are of high standard.
• Order crates and packing materials to meet deadlines and system needs.
• Undertake any other duties as required by the Head of Unit.
