Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Stores Operative for the Fareham introduction site. You will receive goods, process stock, and pick orders in alignment with the MRP schedule. You will ensure accurate packing, labeling, and safe storage, while maintaining KPI data and stock integrity across the stores area.

The role involves handling goods inwards, packing for courier collections, maintaining yard safety, and supporting waste procedures. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous Warehouse or Stores experience required.
• Working at height experience required due to role.
• Experience with ERP Systems.
• Forklift experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process goods inwards and scan to match delivery schedule on MRP.
• Handle goods receipt documentation and booking issues with purchasing.
• Locate stock in correct locations and apply stock rotation.
• Label and pack stock to be identifiable and contamination-free.
• Pick Work Orders and Sales Orders per picking lists with high accuracy.
• Perform general stores duties: loading, unloading, sorting, cleaning and stock movements.
• Follow manual handling guidelines and use lifting equipment where appropriate.
• Keep yard organized, safe and stock located per size; manage COSHH cabinet and oil store.
• Support waste collection processing per business requirements.
• Respond to hatch enquiries with appropriate urgency.
• Process online store requisitions accurately and promptly.
• Maintain KPI data and product/location updates.
• Maintain stores equipment and vehicles; report malfunctions.
• Ensure systems and orders are packed to high standards and labelled for courier.
• Order crates and packing materials timely to meet deadlines.
• Undertake other duties as required by Head of Unit.
