Job summary

Saab UK is hiring a Stores Operative for our Fareham site to receive goods, process stock and manage inwards/outwards according to the MRP schedule. You will pick orders, label stock, and ensure safe, accurate storage across the stores area.

You'll have previous warehouse or stores experience, working at height, and preferably forklift experience, plus a proactive attitude to learn quickly and support the Materials Supervisor. This role is based on-site in Fareham.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse or stores.
• Experience of working at height is required.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Forklift experience is desirable.
• Enthusiastic and hardworking.
• Willing to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and materials in line with the MRP schedule.
• Process goods receipt documentation and scan, resolving booking issues.
• Store stock correctly with rotation and labeling to prevent contamination.
• Pick work orders and sales orders using picking lists with high accuracy.
• Perform general stores tasks: loading, unloading, sorting, cleaning and stock movements.
• Follow manual handling guidelines and use lifting equipment when required.
• Keep the yard tidy, safe and stock located by size, including COSHH cabinet and oil store.
• Maintain KPI data and location updates; report discrepancies to the Materials Supervisor.
• Ensure packing for courier collections and timely ordering of packing materials.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Unit.
