Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a reliable Operative with a Forklift License for a global building materials company in Eastleigh. Responsibilities include managing quality control and goods in within a large warehouse setting. Candidates should have relevant experience in logistics or warehouse operations along with a strong attention to detail. The role offers Monday to Friday working hours with the potential for permanent employment after an initial period of 6 to 9 months.

Our client based in Eastleigh are a global building materials company and the largest global manufacturer of fibre cement products. They are looking for an Operative with a Forklift License, based in their large warehouse that will be responsible for Quality Control, and Goods In.

Technical Requirements to include
  • Completed training or proven experience, ideally in logistics, warehouse operations, or quality assurance.
  • Experience or knowledge of quality control : e.g., incoming goods inspection, visual checks, dimensional checks
  • Computer skills would be an advantage : working with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS) and MS Office
  • Skills in documenting and reporting quality deviations.
  • Forklift license
Personal Requirements to include
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when inspecting goods
  • Sense of responsibility and reliability
  • Teamwork skills, but also the ability to work independently
  • Resilience, especially during high-volume periods
  • Willingness to work shifts, if required

Interviews to take place ideally in October and position to start in November. You will be working Monday to Friday 07 : 00-16 : 00 and the position is for 6 to 9 months with a high chance of permanent for the right candidate.
