Job description

We are currently looking to hire a warehouse operative & driver for a client based in the Truro area, delivering removals goods and furniture around Cornwall. This is a full-time permanent role, with training provided to upskill to a forklift operator. If you're interested, please read on for more details!

About the job:

• Hours vary depending on the route, starting between 07:30 am and finishing in the mid-afternoon.
• Pay is £12.21 per hour, with potential increases after forklift training is completed.
• This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday to Friday.
• Driving 3.5t vans will be required.
• General warehouse duties include maintaining site cleanliness, fire safety checks, warehouse audits, assisting with removals, packing, and loading.
• An element of admin work is involved, including basic computer use.

Job requirements:

• A full and valid Category B (standard car) license with no more than 6 points, and no DR, DD, or IN convictions for insurance purposes.
• Basic computer skills (training provided).
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items throughout the day, along with driving, due to the physical nature of the role.
• Previous experience in warehouse work, delivery driving, or forklift operation is beneficial but not essential.
