Job summary

DPD Group UK in Dunstable is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a permanent 30-hour week. You’ll work Sunday to Thursday, 15:00–21:30, on your feet, handling up to 25kg parcels and using scanners and conveyors.

You’ll receive full training, uniform and PPE, and join a close-knit team focused on accuracy, safety and meeting daily targets. Applicants should be reliable, hardworking and a team player.

Qualifications

• Physical role requiring standing and lifting up to 25 kg.
• Permanent contract for 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parcels with precision and accuracy.
• Sort parcels and use scanning systems to route to correct destination.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

Contract Type: Permanent - 30 Hours Per Week
Days of Work: Sunday-Thursday - Tuesday/Saturday
Hours of Work: 15:00-21:30
This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
