Job summary

DPD is seeking a warehouse operative for a fast-paced site in Dunstable. The role involves loading, unloading, scanning and sorting parcels, with a 00:00-08:30 shift pattern and a mix of Tue-Sat and Sun-Thu duties.

You’ll work on your feet, lift up to 25 kg, and use scanners and conveyors to route parcels accurately. Full training, uniform and PPE are provided, with a strong emphasis on reliability and teamwork.

Contract Type: Permanent - Hours Per Week

Days of Work: Tuesday - Saturday, Sunday - Thursday

Hours of Work: 00:00-08:30

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
