Job summary

DPD UK is seeking high-energy Warehouse Operatives for Bridgwater to play a key role in our fast-paced, physical warehouse operations. You will load/unload, scan, sort parcels, and work with warehouse tech to ensure accurate delivery paths. Training starts Day 1, with uniform and PPE provided.

The role emphasizes reliability, a strong work ethic, and teamwork as you help maintain safety and efficiency across shifts. A focus on wellness and employee discounts complements the team culture.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and reporting discrepancies promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift

Job Description

• Hours of Work: As per request to recruit.

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy


• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)


• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time


• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently


• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment


• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling andreporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly


• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives


• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
