Job summary

DPD is hiring a warehouse operative in the United Kingdom. The role is permanent and full-time, 40 hours per week, with shift times 00:30–09:00, Tuesday to Saturday. You will be on your feet throughout the shift, loading/unloading, sorting parcels, and using technology systems to ensure correct delivery paths.

Full training is provided from day one, along with uniform and PPE. The position requires physical stamina and reliability, with a strong work ethic and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy.
• Handling items up to 25kg.
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time.
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment.
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly.
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives.
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift.

Hours of Work: 00:30 - 09:00

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
