Warehouse Operative

12 hour shifts, 3 days on, 3 days off. 7am – 7pm.

100% on site at Swindon.

Warehouse Operative – proactive and detail‑oriented. Ensure smooth operations across goods handling, customs clearance, and stock management.

The Warehouse team plays a critical role in managing the delivery, storage, and movement of raw materials, semi‑finished, and finished goods on site. This position involves handling a variety of commodities, facilitating imports and exports, and supporting inventory management within Engineering Stores. You will ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate records through our designated MRP system.

The Role
  • Receive, book, and prepare goods for shipment.
  • Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment safely and maintain warehouse standards.
  • Support production with timely material issue.
  • Manage inventory, stock checks, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
  • Handle shipments from customs clearance to delivery.
  • Complete UK import clearance and prepare documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in import/export procedures.
  • Forklift licences (reach and counterbalance advantageous).
  • VNA/Man‑Up/Man‑Down experience advantageous.
  • Strong IT skills; experience with stock management systems (JDE, SAP, or similar preferred).
  • Good standard of English and Maths.
  • Good Manufacturing Practice experience desirable.
