Warehouse Operative

Location: Hinckley

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Shifts: 12pm start or 2pm start (5–8 hour shifts, overtime available)

Role Overview

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operative to join a busy distribution environment in Hinckley. The role focuses on the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles , supporting parcel flow within a fast-paced warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload vehicles quickly and safely.
  • Sort parcel cages and pallets as required.
  • Scan parcels and ensure accurate handling of incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Move parcels throughout the warehouse using correct manual handling techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working area.
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and site rules.
  • Work as part of a team to meet depot targets and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Previous warehouse or loading / unloading experience is beneficial.
  • Good physical fitness — the role involves regular manual handling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a good team player.
