  • Line management experience with ability to lead improvement processes.
  • Computer literacy including MS Word and Excel.
  • Valid Counterbalance license required.
  • Strong goal-setting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

We are looking for a dedicated people leader with good experience in warehouse operations, to help guide our team in Cumbernauld!

This role involves overseeing and optimizing all aspects of warehouse operations for this site, which is part of the division within Emerson that manufactures Gas Analysis products (Gas Chromatographs, Process Gas Analyzers, Laser Analyzers), for customers across the world and across several different industries (Chemical, Refining, Power, Food & Beverage, Aerosol, Life Science). In this position, you will have a crucial part in aligning warehouse activities with manufacturing goals to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and uphold high safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement warehouse operations plans aligned with manufacturing and supply chain objectives.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure workplace health, safety, and security standards are met.
  • Team Management: Oversee and develop the warehouse team, managing their performance and personal development.
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods using systems like Sage/JDE and Oracle, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Objective Setting: Set and review department objectives and KPIs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production planning, procurement, quality, customer care, and logistics to optimize material flow and minimize downtime.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct periodic stock takes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for operational efficiency, including lean manufacturing and waste reduction.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to trade compliance rules and maintain quality management systems.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Provide regular reports and actionable insights to senior management, monitor KPIs, and manage budgetary and service level agreements.
  • Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance performance and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a Stores/Pack‑out and Manufacturing Warehouse environment.
  • Line management experience and proven ability to lead continuous improvement processes.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel).
  • Valid Counterbalance license.
  • Strong ability to set clear goals for yourself and team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is helpful.
  • Manual handling experience is preferable.
  • Experience with Flexi truck/Narrow aisle truck is advantageous.
