Job description

Tennial Personnel is recruiting a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative on behalf of our client based in Bury St Edmunds, Risby. This role is a temporary to permanent role (after a successful 12 week probation period) working day shifts Monday to Friday. This position is integral to the smooth operation of production and warehouse activities, supporting effective stock control, storage management, and site organisation. Reporting to the Stock & Facilities Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production teams have timely access to materials while maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised warehouse and yard environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replenish stock daily for production lines and workstations.
  • Receive deliveries, check documentation, and store items correctly.
  • Pick, pack, and issue stock for internal use and outbound dispatch.
  • Organise and maintain storage areas to ensure safe and efficient access.
  • Carry out stock rotation, ensuring correct labelling and accurate stock locations.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and assist with full stock take activities.
  • Report stock shortages, discrepancies, or damaged goods to the Stock & Facilities Controller.
  • Operate forklifts for loading, unloading, and internal movement of materials.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe warehouse, yard, and storage environment.
  • Support general facilities and site maintenance tasks when required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for production teams regarding material availability.
  • Communicate stock‑related issues, delays, or challenges clearly and promptly.
