Overview

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Ward Clerk (Rehabilitation unit). The closing date is 12 October 2025.

• To provide a proactive and professional welcome to the ward reception, acting as the public face for the RD&E NHS Trust.
• Deliver an efficient administrative and clerical service to the Ward Team
• Maintain effective communication to both patients, relatives and staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the ward; enhancing patient care
• Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
• Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy
• Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times
• The post holder will be required to undertake additional hours to cover for colleagues during periods of annual/sick leave/bank holidays

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Ward Clerk to join our friendly in-patient ward team in South Molton Community Hospital. Every day you will make a huge difference to the lives of the people we support by providing a professional welcome in the ward reception area. Your role will be to provide an efficient administrative and clerical service to the ward team and contribute to the smooth running of the inpatient ward. You will work as part of a supportive and integrated multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Doctors, Nurses and Health care support workers.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (6 hours per day)
