Ward Clerk

We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Ward Clerk, covering the Medicine Care Group, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ward.

As a key member of the administrative team, you'll be responsible for managing patient records, coordinating appointments and providing essential support to healthcare professionals. This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. This role is within the medicine care group.

This vacancy is part‑time – 18 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 3 x 6 hour shifts per week.

Main duties of the job

Interested applicants must have excellent communication skills and be a good team player. They should enjoy meeting and working with the public.

Basic computer skills are also a requirement for the job and NHS experience would be an advantage; however, full training will be given to the successful applicant on use of the hospital computer systems.

The successful applicants will be expected to cover all admin support for the wards and units.

Qualifications
