A UK-based charity is seeking a dedicated individual to support elderly clients in maintaining their independence at home. The role involves providing practical assistance with benefits, applying for necessary aids, and connecting clients to essential services. You will also give advice on care options and maintain accurate records. If you are organized and empathetic, this position offers opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Enhanced annual leave, mental health support, and personal development opportunities are provided.
Our Charity
Established in 1972, P3 Charity is a modern, forward-thinking organisation providing support services to people facing social exclusion across the UK.
We offer a wide range of services, including homelessness prevention, supported housing, mental health support, community advice, hoarding support and services for young people.
We’re a person-centred organisation who works alongside people to improve lives. We do this by strengthening communities, unlocking potential and creating new possibilities. We tackle challenges others won’t and we go the extra mile. We believe in collaboration – both within our teams and with the local community – to achieve the best outcomes.
Our values-driven approach means we recruit for values and train for skills.
Are you passionate about helping people stay independent and live life to the fullest?
In this role, you’ll support individuals aged 65 and over to remain in their own homes with confidence and dignity. You’ll provide practical help with benefit checks, forms, Blue Badge applications, and grants. You’ll also visit people in their homes, assess risks, and connect them with services such as Falls Prevention, Occupational Therapy, and the Fire Service.
Alongside this, you’ll share up-to-date advice on care options, social activities, and housing so individuals can make informed choices about their future. Accurate electronic record-keeping and effective case management will be part of your daily routine. You’ll work as part of a supportive team, attending meetings, training, and regular supervisions.
If you’re organized, empathetic, and ready to make a real difference in people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.
