Vice Principal - Quality of Education | Location: Cambridgeshire | Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent | Salary: Leadership Scale £84,303-£92,976 per annum | Start Date: January 2026

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Astrea Academy Trust as Vice Principal for Quality of Education, with a strategic remit across our secondary schools in Cambridgeshire. We are seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to join our Trust-wide team and play a pivotal role in transforming the educational experience of our scholars. As Vice Principal for Quality of Education, you will be deployed to one of our Cambridgeshire academies to strengthen and enhance the existing senior leadership team. The duration of your placement will be based on the needs of the academy and will be central to its ongoing development and success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Quality of Education agenda within a Cambridgeshire secondary academy.
  • Work closely with the Principal on the day-to-day leadership and strategic development of the school.
  • Implement and embed the Astrea Way and Quality of Education Frameworks to drive consistency and excellence.
  • Line manage Assistant Principals and support the development of senior and curriculum leaders.
  • Champion inclusive education, ensuring disadvantaged scholars thrive and barriers to learning are removed.
  • Lead on professional development, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Secondary Curriculum Team, Deputy Director, and Director of Secondary Education to shape and deliver Trust-wide strategies.
You Will Be Accountable For
  • Delivering high-quality leadership of projects and achieving agreed outcomes.
  • Securing exceptional academic progress and outcomes for scholars.
  • Leading rigorous quality assurance processes and data-informed school improvement strategies.
  • Staying abreast of educational research and policy to inform practice.
  • Providing expert coaching and mentoring to leaders and staff across the academy.
