Job description

A leading Credit Manager is seeking a Vice President (VP) to join its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team on a fixed-term basis to cover a maternity leave. The role will be based in London and offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering the firm’s long-term ESG strategy.

Working closely with senior management, investment teams, and internal ESG governance groups, the VP will help advance the firm’s ESG framework across a defined set of investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with European investment teams across Liquid and Private Credit to support ESG integration
  • Act as the ESG point of contact for investment teams in Europe and Asia
  • Support ESG-related investment due diligence, including data collection, aggregation, and analysis to inform investment decision-making
  • Prepare ESG materials and insights for discussion with senior leadership
  • Manage relationships with ESG vendors and external consultants to progress internal initiatives
  • Develop and deliver best-in-class ESG reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlinesSupport Business Development and Investor Relations with ESG-related communications for investors and prospective clientsRepresent the ESG team on client calls, primarily across Europe and AsiaEngage with portfolio companies on material ESG topics
    Candidate Profile
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, environmental sciences, or a related discipline, or completion of a comprehensive training programme at a leading investment bank
    • Prior experience or coursework in ESG research is an advantage
    • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with advanced spreadsheet capabilities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proven ability to research investment opportunities, form independent viewpoints, and prepare high-quality discussion materials
