Job summary

Village Hotels - Swindon is seeking an upbeat Reception Host to greet guests, guide them to self-check-in and ensure a vibrant, human welcome throughout their stay. You will turn everyday interactions into memorable experiences by solving problems on the spot, upselling Food & Beverage and meetings facilities, and keeping the lobby welcoming and orderly.

Previous hotel experience helps, but energy, reliability and a genuine passion for people are what we value most.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and energy matter more than experience in hotels.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Comfortable engaging with guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• The Welcome: Own the lobby and guide guests to self-check-in with warmth.
• The Problem Solving: Resolve issues on the spot with empathy and calm communication.
• The Commercial Hustle: Upsell Food & Beverage and events to guests.
• The Operations: Keep front of house tidy, handle cash securely, attend operator briefings.
