Overview

Flexible role that fits around your schedules (children, school, university). We can reduce hours or completely stop them during half‑term, Christmas, Easter and Summer Breaks.

Salary up to £75,000 DOE FTE with Welcome bonus up to £5,000, Relocation allowance up to £5,000, Visa Sponsorship and 1 month accommodation available.

Join our long‑standing, tight‑knit, friendly team here at GP Vets. You will be based at our practice in Basingstoke, working with three experienced vets, an experienced nursing team and a support team of receptionists.

Responsibilities
  • Provide veterinary medical and surgical care to patients, with a case work‑up approach.
  • Work as a unit with the veterinary team, nursing staff and receptionists to achieve the best outcome for patients.
  • Utilise state‑of‑the‑art equipment: Digital X‑ray, Idexx ProCyteOne, Catalyst, new Ultrasound machine and dental radiography.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, including CPD and advanced learning.
  • Participate in clinic operations, team meetings and case discussions.
  • Support and be encouraged to achieve personal and professional aspirations.
Qualifications
  • Medical or surgical bias with experience in small animal practice.
  • Experience with exotics is an advantage.
  • Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a flexible rota.
  • Willingness to take advantage of CPD and certificate programmes.
