Job summary

Qualifications

Veterinary Surgeon - Rosemullion, Falmouth

Hours: 40 hours per week. Part time considered to suit your preference! 1 in 6 weekends + no OOH or on call!

Rosemullion is a small animal hospital based in Falmouth. We're a friendly, close-knit team who enjoy working collaboratively and supporting one another.

We're fortunate to have in-house certificate holders and Advanced Practitioners across a range of disciplines including surgery, ophthalmology, medicine, imaging, and emergency & critical care. With MiNightVet Falmouth providing on-site OOH cover, our team benefits from seamless 24/7 support. Our team is large and dedicated, made up of 17 vets, 14 FTE across various disciplines and night vets, split over 3 sites, with a range of experience and interests (exotics, ophthalmology, imaging, surgery, medicine, ECC).

Our diagnostic capabilities are exceptional, with access to high-quality ultrasonography, radiography, a CT scanner, and endoscopy all on-site.

The role offers a varied caseload, including a mix of consulting, surgery, and inpatient shifts.

The location

Based in Falmouth, we're only 3 minutes' drive from the sea, and lucky to be close to the coast and a large town with lots of amenities. A good balance of work and life is important here, and if you love nature walks, sea sports and a town with vibrant history and art scene, you'll settle into Falmouth well! The role is also commutable from Truro, Carnon Downs, Redruth, Camborne, Helston and other surrounding locations in the Cornwall area.

What we're looking for
  • We would also welcome applications from vets who already have postgraduate qualifications with an interest in teaching and mentoring their less experienced colleagues and developing the practice in their particular area of expertise.
  • A medicine or GP bias is preferred but not essential
  • Ideally 2 year graduated
  • Can offer some support for relocation and Visa for the right candidate.
