Job summary

Deane Vets in Taunton is seeking a friendly, organised Receptionist to join our close-knit team on a part-time basis. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, booking appointments, handling inquiries and supporting the smooth running of the practice.

We value teamwork, a professional, compassionate manner and a proactive approach. This role offers 29 hours per week on a rota including Saturdays, with full training and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on service and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and their pets with a warm and compassionate smile.
• Managing appointments and diary bookings, including online and emergency slots.
• Handling calls, emails, and other client communications efficiently.
• Supporting clients with registrations for health plans and answering questions.
• Taking payments, cashing up, and managing client orders and prescriptions.
• Keeping reception, waiting areas, and consulting rooms clean, welcoming, and well-stocked.
• Helping out with general admin and ongoing training.
