Job summary

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group in Newbury is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly practice. You’ll be the first contact for clients, delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience to every client and pet.

You'll manage appointments, handle enquiries, support client communications and work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a smooth client and patient journey. Part-time pattern available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a service focus.
• Friendly, organised and customer-focused; able to work with a team.
• Confidence using IT systems and managing administrative tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and clinical teams to deliver a high standard of customer care.
• Meet and greet clients and their pets.
• Book appointments and manage clinician diaries.
• Manage telephone and email enquiries.
• Take payments for services and products; cash handling and end-of-day banking.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for clients and pets.
