CVS Vets–Westmoor Veterinary Centre in Tavistock is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join our small-animal practice. This permanent, part-time role offers 25 hours per week with a 4-week rotas schedule and Saturday shifts.

You’ll handle calls, appointments, client registration, vaccinations and payments in a busy front-desk environment. We value empathy, clear communication and a welcoming mindset, plus experience in a veterinary setting as a bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a receptionist is required.
• Experience in a veterinary setting is a bonus.
• Strong communication and empathy are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Respond to queries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism.
• Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Process and manage insurance forms accurately and promptly.
