Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in Taunton is seeking an organised Receptionist to join our small animal practice on a part-time permanent basis. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, handling appointments, enquiries and payments with a warm, professional manner.

Working average 29 hours per week, on a rotating pattern Monday to Friday 8:30am–7:00pm and one in four Saturdays 8:30am–1:00pm, you’ll support team colleagues to ensure a smooth client and patient journey alongside our vets and nurses.

• Keeping reception, waiting areas, and consulting rooms clean, welcoming, and well-stocked
• Helping out with general admin and ongoing training

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Deane Vets on a part-time permanent basis.

We’re a close-knit, caring small animal practice in Taunton. We pride ourselves on providing top-quality veterinary care in a calm, professional environment where teamwork and support are everything. Our team includes 3 receptionists, 1 Administrator, Practice Director, 5 vets, 8 registered veterinary nurses - and we all work together to provide the best care possible. We’re a busy but happy place to work.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time, permanent role (Average 29 hours/week, excluding lunch/breaks), On a rota Monday-Friday between 8.30am-7pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8.30am-1pm.
