Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in Taunton is seeking an organised Receptionist to join our small animal practice on a part-time permanent basis. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, handling appointments, enquiries and payments with a warm, professional manner.

Working average 29 hours per week, on a rotating pattern Monday to Friday 8:30am–7:00pm and one in four Saturdays 8:30am–1:00pm, you’ll support team colleagues to ensure a smooth client and patient journey alongside our vets and nurses.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and their pets with a warm and compassionate smile
• Managing appointments and diary bookings, including online and emergency slots
• Handling calls, emails, and other client communications efficiently
• Supporting clients with registrations for health plans and answering questions
• Taking payments, cashing up, and managing client orders and prescriptions
• Keeping reception, waiting areas, and consulting rooms clean, welcoming, and well-stocked
• Helping out with general admin and ongoing training
