A veterinary clinic in London seeks an enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to support pet healthcare and client communication. Responsibilities include keeping the clinic organized, managing stock, and assisting with patient care. Ideal candidates will have experience in animal handling and excellent communication skills. This is a full-time role with various shifts, including weekends, and offers professional growth opportunities and benefits.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Charlton practice.
We’re looking for a team player who is willing to get stuck in, work hard, and is keen to learn. We'll provide training and support to get you going, and you'll quickly become an integral member of the team.
Your tasks will include keeping the clinic clean, tidy, and organised; feeding and monitoring in-patients; running clinical tests; managing stock; handling a variety of small animals; helping set up for operations; deep cleaning all areas; speaking to clients on the phone and in person. Good verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy are essential, as well as some previous experience in animal handling.
This role is full time, working various shifts over 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends included. The pay will be in line with national minimum wage.
