Job summary

Halfords in Warrington is recruiting an Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic to service and repair vehicles with opportunities to take on complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements. You will perform diagnostics across brakes, steering, suspension, and engine systems while developing your skills through hybrid training and ATA/MOT qualifications.

The role offers a base salary with uncapped bonus potential and a clear path for progression within the UK’s-leading motoring and cycling

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair work, including more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements.
• Carry out diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brakes, steering & suspension.
• Access training and ATA/MOT qualifications to progress your career.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
