Job summary

Halfords in Evesham, Worcestershire, is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our Autocentres team. You will service and repair vehicles, including clutches and timing belt replacements, and perform diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension, contributing to high-quality workmanship.

The role requires a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience, plus a full UK driving licence (≤9 points).

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served.
• Must have a full driver's licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs including clutches and timing belts.
• Perform diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.
• Carry out complex repairs and component replacements as required.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
