Job summary

Halfords in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service, diagnose and repair vehicles. You will handle tasks from routine servicing to clutch and timing belt replacements, with diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

The role requires a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or time served) and a full driving licence with up to 9 points. Base salary is £33,500 with an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £6,600, OTE up to £40,100.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Able to perform diagnostics and carry out complex repairs (brakes, steering/suspension, electrics).

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
