Job summary

Vehicle Technician role in London (Kentish Town) requires proven experience with light and heavy commercial vehicles and a Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance. You will diagnose faults, service and repair using modern workshop equipment, ensuring safety and quality in a busy workshop environment.

The role offers a rotating shift pattern, with a base salary around £45,675 and an OTE of £60,000+ with overtime, plus various benefits and a strong training path.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an HGV/LCV/Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Own tools required.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a fleet of light and heavy commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Repair trailers and associated mechanical equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
• Use specialist workshop equipment and tooling.
• Work effectively within a busy workshop team whilst maintaining accurate job records.

Vehicle Technician Role

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, LCV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Own tools required.
• HGV licence and trailer experience desirable but not essential.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern.
