Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a role in Hertford. You will perform servicing, maintenance and repairs, diagnose faults, and provide clear technical guidance to customers.

A strong team player with a valid UK driving licence is essential; MOT qualification is a plus. The position offers up to £42,000 with bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days of annual leave, pension, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) is required.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills are essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet efficiency targets are important.
• Team-focused with good communication skills and a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to high standards.
• Diagnose faults and inspect key components with accuracy.
• Provide clear, professional technical advice to customers when required.
• Deliver outstanding service and build trust with customers and repeat business.
• Support and mentor other Vehicle Technicians and share knowledge.

Your day-to-day as a Vehicle Technician

• Complete vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standards
• Diagnose faults and inspect key components with accuracy
• Deliver clear and professional technical advice to customers when required

• Work closely with the reception and workshop teams for smooth daily operationsSupport and mentor otherVehicle Technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise
