Job summary

Mobile HGV Technician required for East London and Purfleet area. Field-based role diagnosing, servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, with occasional workshop work. Competitive salary: £45,000 base plus a £1,500 joining bonus and overtime.

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with no weekend work and a comprehensive benefits package. Role covers East London, Purfleet and surrounding areas, with 5-stage training leading to Master Technician progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent City & Guilds / apprenticeship.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
• Full UK Class 2 driving licence (Category C or CE).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair a wide range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Carry out inspections, maintenance and fault finding to manufacturer standards.
• Prepare commercial vehicles for MOT testing.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with safety and legal requirements.
• Work on a fleet including Mercedes-Benz, Iveco and Ford vehicles.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Provide excellent customer service whilst working independently in the field.

Salary: 45,000 Basic + 1,500 Joining Bonus + Overtime

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a leading commercial vehicle fleet business covering East London, Purfleet and the surrounding areas.
