Job summary

Royal Mail Group is recruiting a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician for HuntingdonWorkshop on a permanent basis. The role offers a varied and stable career with overtime potential up to £58k, plus a competitive package.

You will work a full-time 39.5-hour week, with a rotating shift pattern and one in three Saturdays. The package includes a base salary, shift allowance, bonus potential, and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic with Level 3 or equivalent and own toolkit.
• Experience on a wide range of vehicles, including LCV.
• Valid UK manual driving licence.
• High work standards and attention to detail.
• Flexible to service demands and shift rota.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
• Use your own toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of light and heavy goods vehicles.
• Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern, fully equipped workshops.

We're recruiting a Level 3 qualified mechanic at HuntingdonWorkshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £58k including overtime.

Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 06:00 - 14:24, week 2: 13:36 - 22:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday day off)

You'll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.

You'll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.

You'll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.

A bit about you

• Qualified mechanic: you're fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You've got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV.
• Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence.
• High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
• Flexible to service demands: you're able to work on a flexible shift rota. You're always willing to support your team where necessary.
