Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our Bristol Autocentre. You will service and repair vehicles, including complex tasks like clutch and timing belt replacements, with diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension. The role offers progression and access to ATA & MOT qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements.
• Carry out diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake systems, steering and suspension.

• Comprising a base salary of £34,640
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,600 per year

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
