Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic - Basildon

Are you a skilled Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic looking for your next step? Our client — a busy, successful main dealer in Basildon— is growing and they're on the lookout for a confident, experienced Technician to join their aftersales team. Whether you've been working as a Mechanic, Service Technician, Diagnostic Technician or within a prestige workshop environment, this role offers genuine progression with routes into Workshop Controller, Assistant Manager and Garage Manager positions.

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 DOE plus bonus OTE £60,000

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm

Saturday (1 in 3) 8am - 3pm

What you'll be doing (and doing brilliantly)

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to the highest manufacturer standards
• Working efficiently to manufacturer-set timings to maintain productivity
• Completing accurate diagnostic reports and documenting work carried out
• Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised
• Communicating clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers
• Ensuring customer satisfaction stays front and centre
• Supporting and mentoring other Technicians as required
• Developing towards Assistant Manager responsibilities

What we're looking for

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
