Overview

About the role: The College is seeking an experienced Maths lecturer on a variable hour contract for our Greenwich site, with cover at our Bromley campus. The role involves teaching students of varying abilities – from Level 1 to Level 2 – and working with the Assistant Director on the expansion and development of the department to deliver high-quality education. You will bring industry experience to inspire learners from diverse backgrounds and help them achieve their career and life goals. You will also promote courses across the English and Maths curriculum area by taking part in marketing events and sharing your teaching experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Maths to students at Level 1 to Level 2 with attention to diverse abilities.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director to develop and expand the department.
  • Promote courses across the English and Maths curriculum area and participate in marketing events.
  • Share professional experience to support student learning and progression.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
  • Qualified FE teacher or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage class groups.
  • Efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping.
