Job description

Foyle Hospice require a Van Driver/Maintenance Officer Band 3 (Agenda for Change PayScale) £24,071 per annum.37.5 hours per weekWe require a Van Driver/Maintenance Officer to collect and deliver goods to and from the Hospice, the Retail Outlets, members of the public and other agencies as directed and to be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and servicing of the Retail Outlet vehicles is undertaken. The role will also involve providing effective maintenance and upkeep to the Foyle Hospice six Retail Outlets and ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation in these premises.A minimum of 3 year’s van driving experience and a full clean driving license are required, as is experience of working with the general public. Basic plumbing, electrical and decorating skills, a thorough knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and knowledge of risk assessment are also required.

Responsibilities

• To collect and deliver goods to and from the hospice and the retail outlets.
• To provide effective maintenance and upkeep to the six Foyle Hospice Retail Outlets and ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation in all of these premises.

Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 year’s van driving experience and a full clean driving licence are required, as is experience of working with the general public.
• Basic plumbing, electrical and decorating skills, a thorough knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
