Job description
Overview

As a Valuations Senior Manager / Director you will take ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the team, ensuring expert guidance is provided to clients on a broad range of valuations issues.
  • Developing and implementing valuation methodologies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing valuation working papers and final reports or presentations prepared by team members.
  • Leading on the preparation of reports for litigious matters and presenting findings in an accepted manner to be used as Expert evidence.
  • Developing new business opportunities by attending new client meetings, networking events and PB marketing events.
  • Monitoring market trends and regulatory developments to ensure valuation practices remain current and compliant.
  • Training the SCF team to ensure that they develop best practice guidance in relation to valuations.

Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (minimum criteria).
  • Significant experience in undertaking company valuations using a range of methodologies (minimum criteria).
  • Strong analytical skills including an ability to identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies in data presented.
  • Experience in working in a client-facing role with SME / owner-managed businesses and an understanding of the factors impacting their operations.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.
  • Proven track record of winning new work from business development and networking activities.

What do the team do?

Part of our wider Strategic Corporate Finance (SCF) team, our Valuations subteam is experiencing sustained and growing demand. We offer huge breadth across the world of valuations and undertake assignments of varying nature and scenarios, including (but not limited to): expert witness reports, share schemes, growth shares, investment portfolios, EOTs and purchase price allocations. Our typical client base is across the SME market and includes private equity backed trading groups, food businesses, international construction companies, financiers and commodities traders. We aim to significantly increase revenue in this space, so the desire to business develop and ability to win new work is vital. For the right candidate, there is potential for a future partnership opportunity.
